Directv offers two programs for MDU properties, other than the SMATV option, as outlined under SMATV.  Both programs require a signed Right of Entry (below) for a minimum of one-year, depending on what program your property is interested in. 

The first program, Direct-to-Home is geared towards getting a community dish system on site for the residents, but leaving it up to them to order their own packages and pay the regular retail rates for programming out of pocket.  With this option, the Association/Property Manager/Building Owner pay an installation fee to Cipher for the equipment (to be determined after a site survey has been completed).  Cipher will then notify the residents that the equipment is there and offer installation to any tenant who desires services.  Residents will pay a minimal fee for professional installation, which includes changing out the existing cable splitters behind the wall plates.  The receivers are included in the cost of installation along with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.  New customers are required to sign a one-year Annual Viewing Agreement, by Directv.  Cipher will service & maintain the headend equipment to ensure optimal Directv service.
